India reported 130 new active coronavirus cases to take its count to 14,971. On May 25, it added 2,124 cases to take its total caseload to 43,142,192. And, with 17 new fatalities, its Covid-19 death toll reached 524,507, or 1.22 per cent of total confirmed infections.

With 1,327,544 more Covid-19 vaccine doses being administered on May 24, India’s total count of vaccine shots so far reached 1,926,744,769. The count of recovered coronavirus cases across India, meanwhile, reached 42,602,714 — or 98.74 per cent of total caseload — with 1,977 new cured cases being reported on May 25.
