BJP plans nationwide campaign on Budget to highlight pro-people measures

The BJP will start a 12-day nationwide campaign on Wednesday to make people aware of the "pro-people" measures that are to be announced in the Union Budget, party leaders said.

Union Budget 2023-23 Live Updates: Compared to others, India's economy is good, says MoS Finance

"Country has made good recovery from Covid. If we look at Economic Survey, all sectors are making progress. Compared to other countries, our economy is good. When PM took oath in 2014, India was 10th (in terms of economy), today it is 5th," MoS Finance Dr Bhagwat Karad told ANI. 

Giving a brief of the proceeding ahead of the Union Budget, MoS said, "Today, the Budget 2023 will be presented by FM at 11 am. Before that, under her leadership, my colleague Pankaj Chaudhary & Secretary will meet the President at 9 am. Cabinet to meet at 10 am under PM Modi."

FinMin reports robust GST mop up of Rs 1.56 trn in Jan

The goods and services tax (GST) yielded Rs 1.56 trillion in January, the highest after Rs 1.68 trillion in April of the current financial year.
