Asia shares mostly higher after US gains for fifth day on Wall Street

Asian shares mostly rose on Tuesday, cheered by a rally to all-time highs on Wall Street. Japan's benchmark Nikkei 225 rose 0.6 per cent to 29,953.97. South Korea's Kospi added 0.3 per cent to 3,054.77. Australia's S&P/ASX 200 jumped 1.1 per cent to 6,846.20. Hong Kong's Hang Seng gained 0.5 per cent to 28,971.04, while the Shanghai Composite inched down nearly 0.1 per cent to 3,417.02. The slower rollouts of the coronavirus vaccine in Asia, compared to the US and Europe, continues to put investors in the region in a cautionary mode, although South Korea, Taiwan, Japan and other nations have had fewer deaths. DRC Systems India lists on BSE, NSE at Rs 128.75, Rs 128.80 respectively

DRC Systems India Limited, the demerged entity of IT consultancy Infibeam Avenues, got listed on bourses on Wednesday. The shares were listed at Rs 128.75 and Rs 128.80 on BSE and NSE respectively in opening deals. In a statement, the company said it received approval from BSE and NSE for listing and trading of its equity shares with effect from Wednesday. Stocks advanced in Asia on Wednesday after a wobbly day on Wall Street, when the S&P 500 gave back most of its gains from a day earlier. Hong Kong led the advance, gaining 1.7 per cent.
