The number of students in Delhi government schools has increased by 21 per cent in the last seven years, Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia said
Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao on Saturday said his government will set up model schools in the state on the lines of Delhi, and will soon send a team of officers for coordination.
Sisodia, who also holds the education portfolio, reiterated that instructions have been issued to schools to follow the government's Standard Operating Procedure if they detect any case
It asked all the schools of Delhi to follow all the precautionary measures to prevent any spread of Covid infection, including wearing of masks by students, teachers and other staff
Addressing a press conference here, Sisodia, who also holds charge of education, said that the AAP government has not allowed Delhi schools to increase their fees since 2015
The Directorate of Education (DoE) also said that students and staff must wear masks and maintains social distancing to the extent possible
The consent of parents for attending offline classes or exams for students of class 10 and 12 in the national capital will not be mandatory any more.
