The five previous hikes had totalled Rs 6.36 a litre and after including the latest increase, the price of petrol has gone up by Rs 7.53 per litre in just over two months.In case of diesel this is the third price increase in a month, the previous being of Rs 2.77 per litre on October 16.The three price increases totalled Rs 3.90 a litre.
