IKEA enters Gujarat through online store and shopping app

Swedish home furnishings retailer on Friday announced the launch of its mobile shopping app and e-commerce offer in three cities of Gujarat Ahmedabad, Surat, and Vadodara. Now customers of three cities can buy IKEA products using the app or order online via the brand website offering nearly 8,000 products, said a statement. Last month, IKEA had launched a shopping app in India, expanding its omnichannel approach in the country. IKEA is building stronger digital capacities and looking to expand to more cities to meet 100 million people in the coming years. IKEA India Country Commercial Manager Kavitha Rao said: "We will offer the full range of IKEA products and solutions for every part of the home including bedrooms, kitchen & dining, living, outdoors, workspaces etc... Gujarat records 1,333 Covid-19 new cases, 18 deaths; 4,098 recover

Gujarat reported 1,333 new coronavirus cases on Wednesday, taking the tally to 8,12,063, while 18 patients died and nearly 4,100 recovered from the infection, the state health department said. As many as 4,098 patients were discharged from hospitals during the day, pushing the number of recovered cases in the state to 7,75,958, it said. A total of 18 patients died, increasing the COVID-19 fatality count to 9,873, said the department in a release. The state's recovery rate has further improved to 95.55 per cent. The number of active cases in the state now stands at 26,232 with 452 patients being on ventilators, the release said. Ahmedabad topped the districts with the highest number of new cases at 232, followed by Vadodara with 225 cases, Surat 177, Rajkot 116, Junagadh 80, Jamnagar 48, Valsad 30, Amreli and Kutch 29 each and Bhavnagar 28, among others. 18 states have reported 5,424 cases of black fungus; highest in Gujarat, Maha

As many as 5,424 cases of mucormycosis or black fungus have been reported from 18 states, with a majority of them in Gujarat and Maharashtra, Union Health Minister Harsh Vardhan said on Monday. Nine lakh vials of Amphotericin-B are being imported by the central government for the treatment of Black Fungus. Of this, 50,000 vials have been received and around three lakh vials will be available in the next seven days," he said. Speaking at the 27th group of ministers (GoM) meeting on COVID-19, he said that Gujarat reported 2165 cases, Maharashtra 1188, Uttar Pradesh 663, Madhya Pradesh 590, Haryana 339 and Andhra Pradesh 248 cases. "Out of these 5,424 cases of mucormycosis, we have seen that 4, 556 cases have a history of COVID-19 infection, while 875 cases are amongst non-COVID patients.
