Gujarat reports 377 fresh coronavirus cases and 9 deaths; 1,148 recover

Gujarat on Sunday reported 377 COVID-19 cases, taking its tally to 12,20,562, while nine deaths increased the toll to 10,896, a health department official said. So far, 12,04,656 people have been discharged post recovery, including 1,148 during the day, leaving the state with an active tally of 5,010, with 41 patients being on ventilator support, he said. "Ahmedabad led with 136 new cases, followed by Vadodara with 72 cases, Surat 26, Gandhinagar 18 and Rajkot six cases, among others. The deaths comprised five in Vadodara, two in Jamnagar and one each in Surat and Bhavnagar," he informed. A government release said 44,497 people were given COVID-19 vaccine jabs on Sunday, taking the total number of doses administered so far to 10.21 crore. Gujarat logs 870 new coronavirus cases, 13 deaths; active tally at 8,014

Gujarat added 870 new coronavirus cases and 13 fresh deaths linked to the infection on Thursday, taking the overall tally to 12,19,082 and the toll to 10,864, the state Health Department said. A department release said 2,221 people were discharged during the last 24 hours, taking the tally of recoveries to 12,00,204. At present, Gujarat has 8,014 active cases, of which 53 patients are on ventilator support, the release said. As many as 10.17 crore doses of coronavirus vaccines have been administered to the eligible population so far in Gujarat, of which, 1.82 lakh doses were given on Thursday, the department said. Seven persons recovered in the adjoining Union Territory of Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu in the last 24 hours, while no new case of COVID-19 was registered there, said an official release. Gujarat adds 1,883 Covid-19 new cases; 14 deaths take toll to 10,775

Gujarat witnessed 1,883 COVID-19 cases and 14 deaths in the last 24 hours, taking the tally in the state to 12,12,370 and toll to 10,775, a health department official said on Friday. The discharge of 5,005 persons during this period took the recovery count to 11,83,294, leaving the state with 18,310 active cases, of which 105 patients are on ventilator support, he said. Of the new cases, Ahmedabad city led with 618, followed by 282 in Vadodara city, 96 in Vadodara district, 95 in Mehsana district, among other areas, he said. As many as 10.07 crore COVID-19 vaccine doses have been administered in Gujarat so far, including 2.06 lakh during the day, he said. In adjoining Dadra Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu, six COVID-19 cases reported in the last 24 hours took the tally to 11,391, including four deaths, while the discharge of 11,359 persons so far had left the Union Territory with 29 active cases, a local official said.
