Haryana has approved nursing policy, applicable from Jan 1: Anil Vij

Haryana Health Minister Anil Vij said that the state government has approved nursing policy and it has come into force from January 1 this year.Presiding over a review meeting with the officials of the Medical Education Department, the minister said under this policy the nursing college must have its own hospital of 100 beds or there should be a hospital recognized by the NABH within a radius of 10 kilometres of the nursing college.Apart from this, there should also be a provision for biometric attendance of students studying in recognized nursing colleges."We have to prepare our medical colleges in such a way that they are capable of admitting serious patients and their treatment can be done in these colleges and for this, availability of modern facilities as well as skilled and efficient workers have to be ensured," he said.Similarly, the policy regarding giving old pension to the employees who were recruited before 2006 in Agroha Medical College was discussed and the officers were .

IMD predicts light rain over Delhi, parts of Haryana, UP today

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Tuesday predicted light rain over parts of Delhi, Harayana and Uttar Pradesh in the next few hours.IMD, in a tweet, said, "09:40 IST; Very light to light intensity rain/drizzle would occur over and adjoining areas of isolated places of Delhi (Mundka ). Light to moderate intensity rain would occur over and adjoining areas of Yamunanagar (Haryana). Saharanpur, Gangoh, Shamli, Muzaffarnagar, Kandhla, Khatauli (U.P.) during the next 2 hours."The rain is likely to improve the air quality of the national capital which is in the "very poor" category with an overall Air Quality Index (AQI) at 368 presently.According to the System of Air Quality and Weather Forecasting And Research (SAFAR), high winds and intermittent rains is expected to improve AQI significantly to the "lower end of very poor" through strong dispersion and wet deposition.As cold wave conditions prevail in northern India, New Delhi recorded 10.8 degrees Celsius at 8:30 am today.

2 injured, several missing after landslide at mining quarry in Haryana

At least two people were killed when half a dozen dumper trucks and some machines were buried in a landslide at Dadam mining zone of Haryana's Bhiwani district on Saturday, police said. They said around half a dozen dumper trucks and some machines were buried under debris when the landslide took place in Tosham block. "At least two people have died in the incident," said Inspector Sukhbir of the Tosham Police Station over the phone. The dead are yet to be identified, he said, adding that rescue operations are underway.
