Delhi reports 20 coronavirus cases, 0 death; positivity rate 0.04%

The national capital reported 20 COVID-19 cases and zero deaths on Monday, while the positivity rate stood at 0.04 per cent, according to data shared by the health department here. The capital has recorded only three fatalities due to the infection in September so far. With the new cases, the overall infection tally in the city climbs to 1,43,869. Of this, over 14.13 lakh patients have recovered from the disease. The death toll stands at 25,085. Delhi reported 28 cases of the infection on Sunday and 41 on Saturday. On Friday, it reported 55 Covid cases and one death. There are 379 active cases in Delhi, of which 116 are in home isolation.

800 mn Covid vaccine doses administered in country: Health Minister

India has administered 80 crore COVID-19 vaccine doses so far, Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya said on Saturday. Maharashtra reports 3,586 new Covid-19 cases, records 67 deaths

Maharashtra on Friday reported 3,586 new coronavirus infections and 67 fatalities, taking the caseload to 65,15,111 and death toll to 1,38,389, a health department official said. As many as 4,410 patients were discharged from hospitals, taking the count of recoveries to 63,24,720. There are 48,451 active cases in the state now. As many as 2,81,072 people are in home quarantine and 1,813 in institutional quarantine. Maharashtra's COVID-19 recovery rate stands at 97.08 per cent, while the fatality rate is 2.12 per cent. The number of coronavirus tests conducted in the state thus far climbed to 5,67,09,128 after 1,79,246 samples were tested during the day. Mumbai city reported 472 new cases and three deaths, taking its infection tally to 7,37,200 and death toll to 16,042.
