Maharashtra's Covid-19 death toll crossed the one lakh mark with deaths continuing to remain on the higher side, even as fresh infections for the day kept falling, health officials said on Sunday.

Gujarat reported 1,333 new coronavirus cases on Wednesday, taking the tally to 8,12,063, while 18 patients died and nearly 4,100 recovered from the infection, the state health department said. As many as 4,098 patients were discharged from hospitals during the day, pushing the number of recovered cases in the state to 7,75,958, it said.
