A total of 1,217 new COVID-19 cases were reported in Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday taking the total count of cases to 71,049.According to official data, 1,937 recoveries and 20 deaths due to COVID-19 were also reported in the Union Territory. The total cases include 18,430 active cases, 51,494 recoveries and 1,125 deaths.Meanwhile, the country's COVID-19 case count crossed 59-lakh mark with a spike of 85,362 new cases, Health Ministry said on Saturday.
The COVID-19 tally in Pune district of Maharashtra mounted to 2,73,012 with addition of 4,180 new cases in the last 24 hours, a health official said on Saturday. With 93 people succumbing to the infection, the total fatality count in the district reached 6,220, he said. A total of 1,695 patients were discharged from hospitals in the last 24 hours. "Of the 4,180 fresh cases, 1,637 infections were reported from the limits of Pune Municipal Corporation, which now has 1,40,588 patients. A total of 1,151 new cases were reported from Pimpri Chinchwad area, where the COVID-19 count now stands at 75,267," the official said. The number of positive cases in rural, civil hospital and Pune Cantonment Board areas has increased to 57,157, he added.
Manipur's COVID-19 caseload went past the 10,000-mark with 260 fresh cases, including 20 security personnel, an official said on Saturday. The northeastern state's coronavirus tally now stands at 10,051. The death toll rose to 64 after a 57-year-old woman from Imphal East succumbed to the virus, he said. Imphal West District reported the highest number of 120 new infections, followed by 36 from Imphal East, 21 from Thoubal and 20 from Churachandpur, the official said. At least 79 people have been cured of the disease since Friday, taking the recovery count to 7,681. Manipur has 2,306 active cases at present, including 410 personnel of the Central Armed Police Forces, he added.
Himachal Pradesh recorded 317 fresh COVID-19 cases on Saturday, taking the infection tally in the state to 13,997.

The COVID-19 tally in Ahmedabad district rose to 36,048 on Saturday with the addition of 195 fresh cases, Gujarat health department said. With three persons succumbing to the infection in the city, the total toll in the district went up to 1,816, it said.
