Nadda says PM to inaugurate AIIMS Bilaspur, congratulate HP CM for 100% vax

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the fully functional All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Bilaspur next year, BJP national president JP Nadda said on Sunday. Nadda, also a Rajya Sabha member, congratulated Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur and frontline workers for making the state the first in the country to fully vaccinate 100 per cent of its adult population against COVID-19. Inaugurating the outpatient department of AIIMS in Bilaspur, Nadda said the health institute will be fully ready by June next year and hoped the prime minister will inaugurate it. As much as Rs 4,400 crore will be spent annually to run the institute, he said during the programme organised to celebrate the state's remarkable feat. Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) National President JP Nadda on Wednesday took a dig at Congress and asked what it has done in the past 70 years.Speaking at an event organised on the first death anniversary of a party worker, Bholanath Vij in Delhi, Nadda said, "Congress always asks "where is the changing India?". I must say that it will not be able to see it. What has the party (Congress) done in 70 years?""If it would have worked for the people's welfare at that time, then PM Modi would not need to do it," he added.Further, Nadda described the works done by his party and said more than 10 crores toilets have been constructed since BJP has come to power."Before BJP come to power, there were a total of 18,000 villages with no electricity. But now, electricity has been provided to all the villages. Ayushman cards have also been given to more than 12 crore families of the country," he added.
