Jet Airways will be adding around 1200 seats per day to its offering by launching two more direct services, connecting Chennai with Paris and Bengaluru with Amsterdam, from October, 2017. The company would be focusing on profitable growth rather than pursuing market share, said a senior official from the company.As on May 1, 2017, the company has over one lakh seats per day offering from India and this would go up by another 1,200 seats per day with the addition of the new direct services, said Praveen Iyer, vice president, Commercial-India Sales, Jet Airways. Of the total capacity, 70,000 seats per day are in the domestic market, while the rest is in the international offerings."We have around 18 per cent market share in the domestic segment and around 15-16 per cent in international. The market share is directly linked to capacity share, and with some of the other players in the field expanding their capacity, our marketshare has come down from 23 per cent earlier," said Iyer.
