JK Cement plans to raise up to Rs 500 cr via non-convertible debentures

JK Cement Ltd plans to raise up to Rs 500 crore via non-convertible debentures (NCDs) on a private placement basis in one or more tranches. The company's board has recommended the proposal in this regard for approval of shareholders in the next AGM of the company. The fund raising will be at an interest rate that will be determined by the prevailing money market conditions at the time of borrowing, said JK Cement in a regulatory filing. Besides, the board has forwarded the request from certain individual/company belonging to persons acting in concert with Promoters Group seeking reclassification of their shareholding in JK Cement to Public Category. For the quarter ended March 31, 2022, JK Cement, the promoter & promoter group, held 45.82 per cent stake in the company. Religare Finvest defaults on an interest payment to NCD holders

Religare Enterprises on Tuesday said its debt-ridden subsidiary Religare Finvest Ltd (RFL) has defaulted on an interest payment due on March 28 for the non-convertible debentures (NCDs). The company defaulted on an interest amount of Rs 2.41 crore, Religare Enterprises said in a regulatory filing. As a result, four investors would be deprived of their interest due. It is to be noted that the RBI on March 11 declined the restructuring of RFL with Religare Enterprises continuing as its promoter since debt-ridden NBFC has been declared as "Fraud" exposure by lenders. RFL subsequently filed a writ petition before the Delhi High Court seeking a stay of operation of the aforesaid order besides other reliefs, it said. The Delhi High Court had stayed the impugned communication of the RBI dated February 11, 2022. Vedanta plans to raise up to Rs 1,000 cr through non-convertible debentures

Vedanta Ltd on Wednesday said it plans to raise up to Rs 1,000 crore through non-convertible debentures (NCDs). In this regard, the company is holding a meeting of its duly constituted committee of the directors next week, Vedanta Ltd said in a filing to the BSE. "The company proposes to offer rated, secured, redeemable, non-cumulative, non-convertible debentures aggregating up to Rs 1,000 crore," the filing said. The above issuance is pursuant to the board of directors' resolutions passed at their meeting held on May 7, 2019, and October 3 last year. Vedanta Ltd is a diversified natural resources company whose business primarily involves producing oil and gas, zinc-lead-silver, copper, iron ore, aluminium and commercial power.

Godrej Industries raises Rs 750 crore through non-convertible debentures

Godrej Industries Ltd on Tuesday said it has raised Rs 750 crore through private placement of non-convertible debentures. The management committee of the board of directors of the company has on September 28 approved the allotment of 7,500 rated, listed, unsecured, redeemable, non-convertible debentures having face value of Rs 10 lakh aggregating to Rs 750 Crore to an identified investor, Godrej Industries Ltd said in a regulatory filing. The company, which is a holding company of the Godrej Group, however, did not disclose the identity of the investor. The proceeds of the issue are proposed to be used for business purposes, investments, repayment or prepayment of certain loans and for general corporate purposes, it added. The NCDs, which will be listed on the National Stock Exchange of India, will have a tenure of 7 years with a redemption date slated for September 28, 2028, it added.
