* The top four teams will qualify for the playoffs
The world's best cricket teams are playing against each other to lift the ICC Men's World Cup 2023. The tournament will be played in a round-robin format, and the top four teams will qualify for the semi-finals. Thereafter, the best two teams will play the final against each other.
Throughout the ICC Men's World Cup 2023 matches, each winning team will be awarded two points, and the losing side will not get any points.
In case of a tie, each team will be awarded one point each. However if the knockout matches or the final get tied, super over will be bowled for the result.
If a match can't be completed due to bad weather or any other reasons, each team will receive one point.
Along with points, the net run rate (NRR) also plays a crucial role in the points table. NRR is decided by calculating the average run scored in each over by a team, minus the average runs conceded by the opposition team in each over. It plays a significant role if two or more teams have the same points.
